Chapin Women's Club
Butterfly Garden Dedication
& Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Chapin Woman's Club is a member of GFWC (General Federation of Women's Clubs, an International Organization with a 125 year history) through their State Federation, GFWC -South Carolina. The Club's State President's special project for her term is "Mental Health".
The BUTTERFLY is the image of Mental Health Awareness.
The Women's Club decided a butterfly garden to benefit the community would be a wonderful contribution and project.
Working with the Director of Crooked Creek Park, Jason White, they decided to redo an overgrown area near the children's playground and senior citizen's room.
This garden will be utilized to educate school children attending the special needs program at Crooked Creek Park about butterflies and nature and will be open to all who come to Crooked Creek Park.
There will be a bench in the garden for those using the walking path where they can take a break and enjoy the flowers and the butterflies.
PLEASE join the Chapin Women's Club, Chapin Chamber Board & Members, our Elected Officials and others from our community to dedicate this beautiful garden in honor of Mental Health Awareness. We can show our support in many ways and this one is a beautiful and peaceful gesture from a loving group.
This will also be a time of fellowship where you can personally congratulate and thank the ladies for their hard work and passion for helping others.
The Ribbon Cutting will take place at 11:30am with light refreshments to follow.
