Our pack is expanding, and we're looking for wagnificent individuals to join our team in roles such as a Pack Leader. We are committed to our mission statement and core values and carefully choose who becomes part of our pack to ensure this alignment. *This is an independent contractor role (1099).*

Who We Are

RubyRed’s Pet Care, LLC is an in-home pet-sitting company committed to offering premium pet care services in the comfort of our clients’ homes.

We service a 10-mile radius of the Irmo/Ballentine area, which includes Chapin/White Rock, parts of Columbia, and the Town of Lexington. We are looking for dedicated pet care professionals to service these areas, as you will be an integral part of our operations.

A Day in the Life of a Pack Leader

  • Clean up after, groom, exercise, and care for domestic pets, including dog walking services, litter box, and cage cleaning.
  • Observe outdoor and indoor play to ensure the safety of the pet
  • Feed and provide fresh water, wash pet bowls
  • Report any injuries or illnesses to the manager as soon as possible
  • Respect clients’ homes and personal property when on-site offering pet sitting services, including cleaning up any pet messes
  • Provide additional customer service as requested by clients, which may include picking up mail, watering plants, and opening and closing blinds or curtains

Basic Pack Leader Level

Required:

  • Must love animals!
  • Be at least 21 years old
  • Working knowledge of animal behavior
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills
  • Have a reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license
  • Pass a criminal background check
  • Ability to work overnight hours, weekends, and holidays
  • Patient, reliable, and trustworthy
  • Obtain a Pet First Aid/CPR Certification

Intermediate Pack Leader Level

  • Previous experience caring for different animals of various sizes and breeds.
  • Experience working with special needs and senior pets
  • Ability to administer medications orally and via injection

Advanced Pack Leader Level

  • Possess/Obtain a Pet Sitter Certification through PSI, Inc. or
  • Veterinarian Technician certified by an accredited educational institution.
 

What You Need

  • Have at least one (1) year of professional pet care experience (For example, experience in doggy daycare or vet clinic)
  • Be insured and bonded
  • Pass a criminal background check
  • If providing Pet Taxi Service, pass a DMV check.
  • Provide at least three professional references that can attest to your experience as a professional pet care provider
  • Complete our Pet Sitter Application and Questionnaire
